Time Activity
1.00pm Art History: A picture can speak a thousand words – Carla Briggs. Meet your Art History lecturer here.
Art History is the study of human visual and material expression across the millennia and different cultures. Art has been part of our world since prehistoric times and today we live in a society in which knowledge is communicated in increasingly visual terms.

This session will examine one painting as a visual document. Through looking, analysing and interpreting the artwork, you will get an introduction to Art History as a gateway to seeing and thinking about our visual world: from the great artworks of history to contemporary culture.
