Science, sustainability & Actuarial & Financial Studies Summer School
Friday June 6th, 9.00am – 3.30pm
What happens on the day?
The programme starts at 9:30am and includes a series of taster lectures and workshops on three undergraduate courses in Science, Sustainability and Actuarial & Financial Studies.
Who can register?
The Summer School is for students who are going into 6th year or Year 13 (A Level) in September 2025.
What does it cost?
The UCD Science Summer School costs €35 and includes a sandwich lunch and tea/coffee. A reduced rate of €15 is available for applicants whose families are in receipt of job-seekers or disability payments. If you wish to avail of this discount rate please email summerschool@ucd.ie for a discount code before booking your course.

9.40am – 11.00am | Earth, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability and Chemistry taster lectures and a mini field class |
11.00am – 12.10am | Mathematics, Actuarial and Financial Studies taster lectures and a workshop |
12.15am – 1.15pm | Lunch in Pi Restaurant on the Ground Floor of UCD O’Brien Centre for Science |
1.30pm – 2.00pm | Physics with Astronomy & Space Science interactive taster lecture |
2.00pm – 3.30pm | Biological, Biomedical and Biomolecular Sciences taster lectures and demonstrations |
