Battling Epidemic Diseases: A History?
In this talk,  we will explore a series of important  historical ‘pandemic’ questions, including:  Can a disease have a history? Did medical experts battle disease outbreaks before germ theory? Can we learn any lessons from the past? How did  Victorian doctors develop ‘track and trace’?  Is  wearing face masks a new phenomenon ? How did public-health officials deal with multiple diseases in the 1900s?
