TRAVELLING TO UCD

Dublin is served by Dublin International Airport and UCD is approximately a 20 minute drive from the airport.There are frequent connecting buses from the airport to the City Centre.

TRANSPORT

Heuston Train Station: the Dublin Bus route 145 from Heuston station serves UCD.

Connolly Train Station: take the DART service southbound to Sydney Parade station, UCD is a short walk from Syndey Parade.

By Bus: University College Dublin (UCD) is served by several bus routes, including:

  1. Dublin Bus routes:
  • Route 4: From Harristown to Monkstown Avenue (via the city center and UCD)
  • Route 7: From Mountjoy Square to Loughlinstown (via the city center and UCD)
  • Route 8: From Mountjoy Square to Dalkey (via the city center and UCD)
  • Route 39A: From Ongar to UCD Belfield (via Blanchardstown, Castleknock, Phoenix Park, and the city center)
  • Route 46A: From Phoenix Park to Dun Laoghaire (via the city center and UCD)
  • Route 116: From Burlington Road to Whitechurch (via UCD and Dundrum)
  1. Go-Ahead Ireland routes:
  • Route 116: From Burlington Road to Whitechurch (via UCD and Dundrum)
  • Route 175: From UCD Belfield to Citywest (via Tallaght)
  1. Aircoach:
  • Route 700: From Dublin Airport to Leopardstown/Sandyford (via UCD)
  1. Bus Éireann:
  • Route 133: From Wicklow to Dublin (via UCD and Dundrum)

Bus stops are located at the rear of the Sports Centre and the main terminus next to the Sutherland Building. Stops are also located just outside campus gates at Roebuck Road, Clonskeagh Road, Fosters Avenue and the N11 (main entrance). Use the TFI Journey Planner and Real Time information to get the best possible routes. UCD Campus is served by the following bus routes: 46a, 39a, 145 and 17

By Car: UCD has a number of carparks throughout the Belfield campus. Parking on campus is free for the day and parking attendants will be on hand to give directions at all main entrances in to the campus.
