The Science and Actuarial and Financial Studies Summer School has now booked out. There are limited places available for Sustainability on Wednesday 5 June and for Computer Science on Thursday 6 June.

Science & Actuarial & Financial Studies Summer School
Wednesday June 5th, 9.00am – 3.30pm
The UCD Science, Actuarial and Financial Studies Summer School programme will be held on Wednesday, 5 June 2024 in the UCD O’Brien Centre for Science. The aim of the Summer School is to introduce students to all of the following areas:
- Biological, Biomedical and Biomolecular Sciences
- Earth & Environmental Sciences
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- Physics
What happens on the day?
The programme starts at 9:30am and includes a number of 30 minute or 1 hour sessions. Each student will attend all of the following:
- Earth Sciences Exhibition
- Chemistry Taster Lecture
- Biomedical and Biomolecular Sciences Lab Practical
- Biology and Environmental Science Campus Field Trip
- Mathematics workshop
- Physics Interactive Taster Lecture
Who can register?
The Summer School is for students who are going into 6th year or Year 13 (A Level) in September 2024.
What does it cost?
The UCD Science Summer School costs €35 and includes a sandwich lunch and tea/coffee. A reduced rate of €15 is available for applicants whose families are in receipt of job-seekers or disability payments.
